Popular megastar Jin Akanishi recently wrapped up 
his successful “2012 JAPONICANA U.S. Tour” 
and tokyohive caught up with him for an interview 
during his March 15th stop in New York City.

Jin was kind enough to make some time out of 
his busy schedule to sit down with us. 
tokyohive asked Jin a variety of questions ranging 
from his success in the US (“Test Drive” and “Sun Burns Down” 
hitting #1 on the U.S. iTunes dance chart) to his starring role 
in the upcoming Hollywood movie “47 RONIN”
opposite Keanu Reeves.

From the moment we met him, Jin was very cool 
and accommodating, we see great things for him in the future.

Q:How do you feel about having both your singles 
"Test Drive" and "Sun Burns Down" being #1 
on the U.S. iTunes Dance Chart?
Jin:I can't believe it, some unbelievable.
I went to iTunes and I signed in and took a picture,
stuff like that. I'm so happy about it.

Q:What do you like to do on your days off?
Jin:Hand out with my friends,
spend time with my family.

Q:Can you tell us about your upcoming movie "47 RONIN"?
Jin:I'm having a movie with Keanu Reeves,
called 47 RONIN.
It's coming out in November.
It's based on Japanese traditional story,
with a litte bit fantasy element.
Just think of it as Harry Potter with sword instead of wand, I think...

Q:Which artists inspire your music and are there any 
that you would like to collaborate with?
Jin:I like Lil Wayne, I like his music.
I was inspired from him.
It sounds a little difficult,
but if I can collaborate with him, that will be awesome.

Q:Where would you like to perform
that you haven't visited yet?
Jin:I would like to go Asia and Europe, Spain, Italy...

Q:Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?
Jin:Thanks all your supports,
and my first US movie 47 RONIN is coming out in November.
