On April 7th, 2014, the president of Johnny's entertainment,
Johnny Kitagawa talked about Jin Akanishi during an interview
for the first time since he left his agency.

Kitagawa stressed that due to whatever reasons,
Akanishi didn't talk or meet with him
before and after he decided to leave his agency.
There wasn't even a phone call.
However, Kitagawa said he understands Akanishi's reasons for leaving
and he hopes he will succeed in the US market.
It was reported that the agency wanted him
to focus more on domestic activities in Japan instead of overseas market.
Kitagawa also acknowledged Akanishi's talent and his ability to take action.
At the end of the interview, Kitagawa jokingly said if Akanishi and his wife(Meisa Kuroki)
could sustain a good relationship, then he would be an absolutely successful person.
