Details have finally been announced regarding 
Akanishi Jin’s debut American release. 
He will start out with a digital-only single titled 
“TEST DRIVE Feat. JASON DERULO,” to be released on November 8. 
After that, he will release the song in Japan as part of 
a new mini-album that goes on sale on December 7.

Akanishi’s American debut single was first announced in February of this year. 
The song is a collaboration with singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, 
produced by J. R. Rotem. Akanishi is releasing the single 
through Warner Music, using the artist name “Jin Akanishi.”

Because the digital single will not be made available for download in Japan, 
Akanishi will release it as a mini-album in Japan on December 7. 
The regular edition will contain three versions of “TEST DRIVE,” 
plus three other songs titled “MY MP3,” “PAPARATS,” and “TIPSY LOVE.” 
The limited CD+DVD edition will have the same tracklist except without “TIPSY LOVE,” 
but the DVD will have the music video and the making video for “TEST DRIVE.”

Akanishi is said to be planning his first U.S. album for 2012, 
but a release date has not yet been announced. 
He is working with music production team Stereotypes, 
who have previously worked with artists 
such as Far East Movement, Usher, and Justin Bieber.

Akanishi is also making his Hollywood debut next year 
with Keanu Reeves’s movie “47 Ronin,” coming out in December 2012. 
Akanishi was revealed as a cast member this past spring.
