Trivia
Former member of the popular Japanese Boyband, KAT-TUN. 
He represented the "A" (for "Akanishi").

He is close friends with Yamashita Tomohisa and Yuu Shirota.

He writes his own songs for KAT-TUN (Care, Hesitate, Murasaki, Love or Like) 
and often takes the hardest parts of their songs because of his impressive vocal range.

Some people think his first name is Hitoshi because of 
the multiple pronunciations of his name's kanji character. 
The real pronunciation is Jin, based on one of the Confucian virtues (benevolence). 
His name was once even published in a magazine as Akanishi Hitoshi.

Akanishi is due to release his first American single in 2011. 
It's a collaboration with Jason Derulo.

In February 2010 Jin held his first solo concert in Japan.

Personal Quotes
It's not that I'm a perfect person or anything.

(March 2007) On a 6-month hiatus; currently studying abroad in California.

and other entertainment activities.
